 Karsh Kale

The venues for Karsh Kale's gigs are all over the map - from Joe's Pub in New York City to Burning Man in Nevada's Black Rock Desert; from stages in India and Mexico to the sublime environs of the Getty Center in Los Angeles. Born in Brooklyn, but with his Indian heritage burned into his soul, Kale is a young musician who builds bridges from the past to the future with his music.

 Michael Stephans

When Michael Stephans moved from the East Coast to the West in 1976, he didn't expect that he wouldn't move back until 2006, but that's exactly what happened. The 30 years in between were filled with jazz gigs with Bob Brookmeyer, Bennie Maupin, and others; show gigs with Shirley MacLaine and studio dates for Hollywood films and TV; writing poetry and teaching college. Now it's back to the East and whatever that might bring...
