 David Torn

As we speak, David Torn is becoming truly bi-coastal, maintaining homes both in New York and in sunny southern California. Why the move to SoCal? In a word - movies; in a phrase - because that's where the film-scoring gigs are. Over the past 15 years or so, Torn has become increasingly involved in almost every aspect of making music for films - as a session player, a creative partner, and most recently, as a composer. But if you're a fan of his ground-breaking guitar playing don't fret, he's still all about the guitar...

 Iva Bittova

Iva Bittova has a little bit of Gypsy and some Jewish blood in her veins - you can hear it in both her violin playing and in her singing. Born in Moravia, her Czech childhood was filled with many re-locations within the country. Particularly significant was a move from north to south where the musics were very different. All of it she absorbed so that today whether she is performing avant-garde improvisations, her own compositions, or music by other composers, the sound of her heritage is exquisitely revealed.
