 Dave Douglas

Dave Douglas's musical vistas are very, very wide. Before his career as leader of his own groups, he played Haitian music, Latin music, Jewish music, and in street bands in Times Square, not to mention working with both Horace Silver and the Bread and Puppet Theater. These days he's as busy as ever - composing, performing, and recording with electric pianos, chamber ensembles, and much, much more. Stay tuned...

 Ron McCurdy

Ron McCurdy loves to teach, so much so that he wrote a tune about the emancipation he felt upon returning to teaching from a purely administrative job as head of the Thelonious Monk Institute. Now the chairman of Jazz Studies at USC, McCurdy is helping to shape the musical lives of some very talented students. He also tours with his Langston Hughes Project bringing words, sounds, and images of liberation to audiences across the country.
